Yesterday I found out that on the 4th of October there is Rayburn's 1st dance. Also, with ZYM, there is a Christian band coming to Reed Arena. I don't know which 1 to go to. If I get asked 2 the dance, I'll go. But if not, I'll go to the concert. I think.

Today was ZYM. I had lots of fun. Audre did a lesson on the fruits of the Spirit. She told 3 funny stories. Afterwards we went and played volleyball. It was really cool! That's all bye.

Sand volleyball after ZYM is one of my most prominent and favorite memories of this time in my life. Every single Sunday - rain or shine, we would be out there. The best was during the summer because we could stay out later. For the record, I sucked at volleyball. Like, beyond sucked. But it was still a ton of fun.

Last night I had a dream and to make a long story short, Bradley kissed me! I'm not happy about this but I'm not upset either.

Today was the 2nd ZYM meeting. We elected officers.

I am so excited!

After the meeting, I was walking out and somebody hit my head with something. I turned around and Ethan W. had hit me with a confetti egg! I went and grabbed one and started chasing him. Finally, I threw the egg at him & hit him in the head with it.
He kept messing with me the rest of the time. Whenever left Ethan threw an egg at my window. I screamed and I saw him laughing. He came up to the car and opened the door and said good-bye. 
It was really fun.

Today was the 1 year aniversary of the terroists attack. We did a lot of fun stuff in Social Studies.

Dear Diary,

Today at school my Language Arts class and I were going to the bookfair in the library. There was the 7th grade principal, Mr. Garcia, and these two boys. One was this black boy and the other one was Ethan. I didn't know that Mr. Garcia was the 7th grade principal. I didn't even know who he was. I smiled at Ethan & he just looked @ me like I was crazy. When he looked @ me like that, I thought that for sure Jackson told. 
I also put a note in Jackson's locker asking him if he told. Later in the day I saw him in the hall and he didn't say anything about my note. After school I was telling Misty this. At that time Jackson walked through the hall. Misty and I ran up to him and asked him if he got it or not. He said that he hadn't been to his locker very much. Then he asked me, "When did you put it in there?" "Um sometime after 2nd period but before lunch." "Well I was there. You must have put it in there after I left. What locker did you put it in?" I said, "695." Jackson just laughed. He said that it wasn't his locker. His was 697 and 695 was Josh S.'s! Then he said he was just kidding. He about gave me a heart attack!
Then at open house I got two new books and a new diary b/c this one is full.
Also! I have a new crush on this boy named Josh S. It's not very big. And I have another small one on Jackson!

Dear Diary,

Let's rewind to yesterday night. There was a big fund raiser for Wacey's dad who has cancer. It was an auction, dance, and BBQ. Mom dared me to ask Jackson & or Cash to dance. So I did. They both said no of course.
So later I asked Skyeler M. if he remembered what he said about me in the fourth grade Honor Chair. He said he didn't so I told him that he had said that I was pretty. Misty asked him if he still thought it was true or not. He just smiled and didn't say anything. He just kinda stuttered. I am not trying to brag or anything but I still think he thinks that I am pretty. That's why he didn't say anything.
So after that I was thinking, "I've messed with all of them but Kevin. I've gotta do something to him." So the rest of the time, I just followed him.
Okay now we are rewinding to when I 1st got there. Jackson & Cash & all these boys were up in a tree. Jackson said that he didn't tell Ethan but he was going to see him on Sunday & he was going to tell him then. Then by the end of the night they all knew. Turns out Skyeler and Keven Both knew him.
So on Tuesday I am going 2 put a note in Jackson's locker asking if he told or not. I just hope I won't be humiliated. Oh well. If I get totally embarrassed, I'll let you know!

Dear Diary,

today I was talking to Jackson & he was saying that he wasn't going to ask Blake n e thing b/c it wasn't his business. At that time Ethan comes up to Jackson & goes "He man! wuzup?!?" I looked @ Jackson & said, "You know him? Your friends w/ him?" "Yeah." I said, "I hate you!" Of course I didn't mean it. Jackson goes, "Why? Do you not like him or something?" "It's just the opposite." He said, "Oh, so you LOVE him." "No I don't LOVE him. I just have a crush on him."
So after school, I went up 2 him & said, "You aren't gonna tell r u? Please don't!" "2 bucks!" "No!!" At this time Ethan walked up. Jackson goes, Ethan there was something I wanted to tell you." I looked @ Jackson like helloo! I'm not going into all the details. But after Ethan & Jackson went home, I asked Tim if Jackson told Ethan that I liked him. (Tim already knew that I liked Ethan.) He said no but he may not have been there the whole time. On Tuesday (we have Monday off) I am putting a note in Jackson's locker to see if he told or not. I don't think he would for a few reasons.
1 - he jokes around alot
2 - he knew that I didn't want Ethan 2 know I like him
3 - He is my friend and he wouldn't tell since he knew I wouldn't want him 2 tell

Dear Diary - 

today I didn't have much happen! Yeah! Right! NOT! My life is over! NOT! It's just dented. Blake has a crush on me! I got Jackson 2 ask him why he likes me. Blake never answered him. But Jackson & I were talking later. I was saying that I don't see why he has a crush on me. I said "I don't think that I am the kind of person anybody would have a crush on. I know your not gonna say anything because..." He just looked @ me. He started to say something but he didn't finish. After school I was asking him what he was gonna say earlier. He said, "Don't take this the wrong way but." Uh-oh, I thought, he's gonna say something rude. "I don't think what you said earlier is true. I mean the thing about nobody liking you and all." I said, "What do you mean?" He said, "To tell you the truth, I did have a crush on you at one point & I still consider you one of my good friends b/c your really nice and I umm.." "Um what?" "Well I do think you are kind of pretty." "Seriously?" "Yeah." After that he had to leave but Jackson C. admitting that he had a crush on me, thinks I'm pretty & nice! That's just strange. 
Also, I saw Ethan today and he said hi to me. I guess he's learned his manners. Either that or when he ignored me, he was having a bad day.

Poor Blake. He had such a rough time in my world - he came to many birthday parties that were hell for him, and then he as a crush on me and I was a jerk. I don't know what he's up to now, but I know he went through a phase when his life wasn't so great (due to his own choices). Truly, I hope he's doing okay. Now, that conversation with Jackson. I meeeaaannnn. It is a possibility, I suppose, that a conversation like that happened - we really were good friends through most of middle school, although not so much in high school. That being said, I'm always skeptical of my younger self because I've seen how prone I am to straight up lying about stuff. Who knows. Maybe I should give younger me some credit. 
Also - "I guess he's learned his manners." Hahahahahaha. I wonder where I heard that one from!!

2day I was tardy 2 advisory!! 4 these reasons: 
1. My 9th period class is rite next 2 my advisory. Locker on the other side of school.
2. Jammed locker
3. Jammed zipper
When the tardy bell rang I was pulling out my chair! I didn't get a D-hall b/c Mrs. Jones understood.
Also, I saw Ethat 3 times 2day. The 1st time he gave me a high five. The second time he shook. And the third time he was laughing w/ his friends. He just said hi to me. Also, I had fun 2day in piano. there is this boy that comes in after me that I play better than. He is in 9th grade & has played for 6 years.

Okay, cocky Emily at it again. I did get to a point where I was very good at piano, but it was definitely not in the 6th grade. Now, my piano skills are very limited because I haven't really done much with it in years. Also, what kind of school counts a kid tardy because they haven't actually sat down in their chair? Maybe strict private or classical schools, but Rayburn was definitely not that. Pretty sure I was just being dramatic as per usual.

2day Mom & I went 2 town 2 get me some MORE school supplies!!
That's all we've been doing lately b/c all my teachers @ Rayburn want more & more & more!!
Also, on Monday I start piano lessons. Ms. Minter will pick me up from school every Monday. Mom said that Ms. Minter will have a sign in her car that has my name on it!
I'll be humiliated in front of all of Sam Rayburn! It might give me a bad name! Wait!! What am I saying?!?! I don't even have a "name" @ Rayburn yet! Oh well.

I totally forgot that my piano teacher ever came to pick me up from school. I took lessons from her for quite a long time, if I remember correctly. I was her first lesson of the day, and I remember she and her house always smelled like peppermint tea. While I did my warm-ups or played through my homework, she would make cinnamon toast and a cup of peppermint tea. It's a weird memory, but that's what I associate with her.

2day was another fun day @ Rayburn. Even though I didn't c Ethan it was an o.k day. Turns out Brad is going 2 Rayburn. He wasn't there yesterday so I didn't think he was going 2 Rayburn. We got our locker combia combination 2day. Mine is 44-14-12. I figured out how 2 open it already. 2morrow is the 1st day we switch classes. I am a little nervous but not really. I just hope I see Ethan 2morrow.
Also, I made a new friend 2day. Her name is Jessica F. Weird last name. She's really nice though.

Today was my 1st day @ Rayburn. @ 1st I was nervous but now I LOVE RAYBURN! 2day was borin' cause we just went over the rules & dress code. Yuk!
But Ethan W. came up 2 me & said, "See, it's not that bad!" I said, "Not really." He said, "Well I'll see you l8er! Say hi 2 your Mom 4 me!" So he was really nice 2 me. After he walked off Jill, who is in my class, said "He's HOT!!" She thinks he's cute 2! She thought I was cool cause I knew a HOT 7th grader!

Dear Diary - 

2day we had a gospel thingy @ church. It was @ 6. After the songs there was A Make your own sundae.
Ethan was there so I showed him 2 Sarah E SHE thought he was HOT!! I think he's cute but not hot. & Sarah & I were talking about boys & stuff. So it was cool. We went in & Stacey, Sheila, AY & my mom were talking about Bloussant! It's this stuff that makes your boobs bigger!! N E ways, Stacey ordered it!!?!! Sarah & I left and started talking about that. By the time we were done she wanted to ask somebody (a boy) if they wanted 2 C a girls b_ _ _ s bounce! She started running towards Henre & right as I caught her she yelled his name. Naturally he came over there. So I just asked him some bogus question. (I was covering Sarah's mouth). He answered and just walked off. As soon as I let go of her mouth, we just started cracking up!
New subject: Sam Rayburn Aaaaagh!!!!!! It's TOMORROW! I am so scared! I will NOT be surpised if I don't sleep 2night. I have 2 do it n e wayz. Bye.

I mean, where to start?! I looked up Bloussant and it is a real thing, at least it was back in the early 2000's. It had pretty good reviews at the time, but a quick scan of the top Google results looked like there might have been some sort of lawsuit that shut them down - shocker. 
Also, boys and boobs - at least I was sometimes a normal pre-teen girl.
I do remember being really scared to go to Rayburn; it was a big school (at the time) and was very intimidating. Switching classes was scary, especially because there were multiple areas/hallways, and I couldn't keep them straight. I was nervous about how many other kids would be there, especially older kids. I don't know if my diaries reflect it or if I even have diaries from the time, but I also know I had very similar fears when it came time for high school. Spoiler alert: I survived (mostly) and it was pretty awesome (mostly).

Dear Diary,

Today we went over to the [family name]'s house for lunch. I didn't think I'd have much fun! But, I did! We had tostadas for lunch. Then Mrs. H. took Mom to see their bed and breakfast. While they were gone Cheri, Audrey, Molly, Sarah, Henre & I played Mad Gab. We were laughing the majority of the time. Also there house is really cool. They have 2 game rooms on either side of there house. In the middle there is the kitchen, dining room & stair. Behind thats is a bedroom. Then upstairs they are re-constructing the middle room. But, the bedrooms are cool! Audrey & Molly have their own bedrooms. Kenny & Henre share a room & Cheri & Jesse share a room. Then there is the bathroom that has a boys stall & a girls stall. There's a boys sink & a girls sink. It is so cool!! Each of the bedrooms have a loft. Audrey's loft & Cheri's loft connect. Their house is really cool!

Being @ their house today made me like Henre more than I did. And not 2 brag but I think he likes me to. When we were playing Mad Gab, I would see him stareing @ me. He would barely every guess what the answer was. So I don't know what was going on in his head. I mean it's a guy! How should I know what happens in a guys head?!?

I don't remember all the details as I recounted them in this entry, but I do remember loving their house and wanting to go over there a ton because of how cool I thought it was. Plus, as an only child, going to a house with six kids was really fun to me. We're not even going to address the fact that I always think guys like me back because of the stupidest reasons.
